Internet 2.0

The Internet is set to evolve into something far greater than we have ever imagined. Whereas now, we think globally and act locally, the next step for us is to think galactically and act globally. The new millennium signals a time when the enterprise of sharing ideas has become the greatest achievement of our race. After thousands of years of killing each other, we finally get along with each other enough to share our secrets, collaborate, brainstorm, mind map, translate, help each other, learn about each other, make a large, foreboding land and sea feel like a home, for now we can click and drag our little mouse pointer and watch our home scale up or down in size according to our wishes. We have made the transition from fantasy literature, with faeries, elves, gnomes, goblins, demons, etc. to science fiction, with its never-ending array of aliens, genetic experiments, hyper-dimensional beings, time travellers, super-intelligent entities, space-age technologies, faster than light travel, and so on. There is a reason for this transition. More on this to come.
