Dead silence...
I've mentioned this before, but I feel it bears repeating. As a writer, I'm always looking to improve my skills and learn what works and what doesn't work. I've been doing this for two years and I still have yet to see even one comment posted on any of my three blogs. I guess it just feels...one-sided to me. You, the reader , are a participant, not a spectator. I know, I know, this stuff is really strange. Others might think you're strange for commenting on stuff like this. Trust me though, there's a lot stranger stuff out there. So I'm not demanding, I'm politely asking for some feedback. Pretty please? With sugar on top?

Eden Revisited
As I promised in my last post, I'm going to talk about the Book of Genesis, specifically Genesis 2:4 to 3:24. I've read the English translation in the King James Version, and honestly, it left a lot to be desired. To me it seemed to be a gross oversimplification of a very complex narrative. Fortunately, in researching this legend I found a couple of sources that really put this story in perspective for me. The first is the book Ain Soph: The Unknown God by F. J. Mayers. Now out of print, this valuable tome has been rescued and published online. Mayers was a Hebrew scholar, and he skillfully re-translated the first 3 chapters of Genesis, his goal to show what the Bible actually teaches regarding our origins. The translation is done almost word for word, and it provides some of the depth that most English translations lack.
Before Eve as we know her was created, the cosmic being Adam was 'placed' into the spiritual garden that was rendered in the sphere of time and space. Adam had male and female qualities completely fused. When God saw that Adam was 'lonely,' Adam then perceived two beings. He called himself Aish, and he called his counterpart Aesha. God did not command Adam regarding the Tree of Knowledge, nor anything else. The word translated as 'command' can also mean 'advise, caution, or counsel.' The serpent Nachash is the self-concerned (self-serving) aspect of Adam. Pop quiz: who first ate the fruit from the tree? If you said Eve, you've overlooked the fact that Eve did not even exist at this point. It was Aesha, the female aspect of the collective entity Adam who gave into the self-serving temptations of yet another aspect of Adam; this whole scene is just an internal dialogue between different aspects of Adam.
Like a child, carefree and innocent, Adam could not conceive of the consequences he was warned about. Ultimately, free will was upheld. A god can't teach us to evolve directly, as that subverts the amazing gift of free will. How does one evolve? By learning from the consequences of ones own actions. All souls are allowed to evolve at their own pace through free will. Only after the Fall did Eve, the feminine manifested in the physical world, exist. Before the Fall there was only Aish, Aesha, and Nachash, aspects of our spiritual ancestor Adam. So just what is this duality we fell into? Attention is often drawn to nudity, sexuality, and carnal knowledge as being involved in some way, and this has been misinterpreted because of the metaphorical nature of Genesis. It is near impossible to understand The Fall just by reading Genesis; a more literal source is needed to grasp the full implications of what may be the most important event in human history.
I've studied eschatology, or 'end times,' for over ten years. Early on in my research I came upon channeled material. Most of it was of pretty poor quality, but two sources really seemed to be genuine to some degree. The first was the Ra material, and the second is the Cassiopaean Experiment. Where the Ra material feared to tread, the Cs dove right in. The results are shocking, but valuable if one remains objective in their search for truth. Many topics discussed with the Cs are difficult to prove or disprove, as is usually the case with esoteric subjects. Thus one must always take the material with a grain of salt and do their own research. I know some might balk at the fact that this is channeled material, but consider this: isn't the Bible supposed to have been divinely inspired? Aren't most spiritual texts? How is this channeled material any different? I am not going to try to convince you that the Cassiopaean material is the real deal, I think the material is good enough to stand on its own. I'm simply going to paraphrase what the Cs say about the Fall of Man as it pertains to this article. If you want to learn more about the Cassiopaean Experiment, I suggest you read The Wave. It is no small feat, but I will say that this book drastically changed my life.
Okay, enough about that, let's get back to our main event: the serpent in the garden. Cultures around the world and into antiquity have reptiles or serpents in their myths and legends. One theory regarding the origin of these myths is the visitation of reptilian beings from the sky. This is not a new concept, but it is one that is mostly unknown outside of esoteric circles. If this is the case, and I have found much evidence to support this theory, then it is these same reptoids who appear in our creation myth: the serpent in the garden. A soul unit is a group consciousness, a fragment of Prime Creator. The purpose of said soul group is so that Prime Creator may experience itself from all possible individualized perspectives. The Edenic state in which the human soul unit lived before the Fall was a state of purity, of knowing, of connection to the source. Childlike, carefree, innocent, and...quite naive. Just imagine it. These reptoids, beings far in advance of humans even in this Edenic state, visit us and invite us to try experiencing these more physical bodies. Temptation to limitation, pleasurable sensations, self-gratification. The female energy of the soul unit accepted the offer, and we became aligned with these lizards, these Lords of Entropy.
We lost our connection to the higher realms, quickly became addicted to pleasuring the self, and fell further and further from the Edenic state. Soon, it was just a distant memory, but one that we could never forget. It survives in us today thousands of years later because deep down inside, all human souls know this story. We still feel the pain and sorrow of the Fall reverberating throughout our world. Now comes the question, what can we do about this? Well the cyclical nature of the Universe and it's tendency to periodically re-balance the situation indicates that we won't stay in this downward spiral forever. In fact, a lot of circumstantial evidence points to this time that we're in right now as being one of transformation...but only for those who choose it. Remember, free will is the penultimate law, one that not even Prime Creator may violate. Every day is filled with choices. Some move one closer to non-being and entropy, others move one closer to being and growth. There is no right or wrong, only consequences.
I shall conclude with the concept of Original Sin. To sin means 'to miss the mark.' It has taken on a negative connotation, but really, that's what it actually means. To fall from grace is something that all souls must experience; it is a natural stage of evolution. Are we all born with original sin? Born under a bad sign? Not really, in my opinion. Yes, we are still suffering the consequences of the decision to become more physical, but we can choose differently now! If one chooses not to do this, if they choose to continue wallowing in materialism and physicality, then that is their choice. They will eventually be presented with another opportunity to move on, but not for many thousands of years. Personally, I'd much rather learn and grow right now than repeat the learning cycle in this realm. Not everyone shares my perspective, but I will gladly share it with anyone who asks. By sharing knowledge we learn and grow together, exponentially so. This is my attempt at sharing some of what I've learned.

Since my first post about Hebrew is by far the most popular here, I've decided to write some more about Hebrew, hence the title of this post, Od Ivrit. Qabala is as much about numbers as it is about letters. The subset of Qabala called Gematria (גימטריא) is a system of numerology that assigns a numeric value to each letter of the alphabet. Referring back to this chart, the letters in the Hebrew, Greek, and Latin alphabets still retain some characteristics of the Proto-Sinaitic alphabet Phoenician: א (Aleph) looks like an ox head with horns, Aleph means ox. ט (Tet) means wheel. This iconography is all but forgotten to the Western world.
Here is a condensed version of the Abraham Cycle:
"Before we look at the archetypes of masculinity and feminity and their relationships in the Abraham Cycle, it may help to remember that Iysch and Esha (Aleph-Yod-Sheen and Aleph-Sheen-Hay) are the abstract archetypes or symbolic beings of man and woman in contrast to the individualized-in-spacetime functions of Adam and Eve. Their essence and common element is Aleph-Sheen, Hebrew for fire. In man, the fire exists (Yod), but has no life. In woman, it is alive (Hay) but doesn't exist. Further, the Hebrew words for male and female describe the male as open to evolutionary possibilities while it is the female who carries and safeguards the cosmic Aleph, Qof. Note both energies are present in the individual: 'male and female he created them.'"

By now I hope it is clear what is meant by Abraham Cycle. Judaism, Islam, and Christianity are all Abrahamic religions. They are so-called because all three believe in the covenant God made with the patriarch Abraham. If Abraham/Isaac/Jacob are the patriarchs, Sarah/Rebekah/Rachel are the matriarchs. Thus the theme of male and female duality is echoed on down through history, continuing with us today. One is incomplete without the other. What began with the cosmic being known as Adam being projected into two individualized beings, Aish and Aesha (fire, remember?), is repeated over and over in our mythology like the polar Yin Yang swirling endlessly together. In my next post I will delve into the Garden of Eden and try to explain what the Genesis narrative means to me.

Alas, transliteration is not an exact science, so there will always be variations in spelling. I do not claim to use the correct spelling, nor do I believe there is a correct spelling. Now, here's what Qbl.com says in the introduction to the Abraham Cycle:

ManMadeMan - Ooze
Back in the early 00's, I went to several psytrance events in Boston. They had all the usual trappings of psytrance, and nothing I've experienced before or since comes close to the sheer intensity of live psytrance. Watch this video and try to imagine being there, try to sense what this song and video are trying to convey. Psytrance parties are held all over the world and are attended by people of all ages and all walks of life. It's something I will die happy knowing I experienced.
ManMadeMan is a duo of psytrance artists who have deep roots in the community. Their album Free to Listen is available to download at no cost. They are currently #1 in their genre on ReverbNation. This kind of attention is well deserved.

Milestones
So I started this blog awhile ago to write about how strange things relate to each other. I've just passed 3000 views on my blog, and it feels...weird. When others choose to tune into my stream of consciousness for awhile, how should I act? As myself. Right? What could be easier than being yourself? Actually, sometimes it's kinda hard. I try though. I feel pretty good about this statistic, as quite a few people have taken an interest in this blog. my only regret is that there hasn't been very much feedback, but knowing people are at least reading these words is very cool for me. New Horizons in 2013
I remember being in my late teens when the Y2K phenomenon was happening. Many truly believed that our computer infrastructure would be plunged into such chaos that electric grids would fail, planes would fall out of the sky, nuclear missiles would lauch, etc., etc. People built shelters, stockpiled food and water, and took all manner of precautions, and we waited. Over the past two thousand years, the people have believed that the end was near numerous times. In modern times we have passed so many 'false ends' that people have begun to doubt the possibility of some great change within their lifetime altogether, similar to the parable of the "boy who cried wolf." The most recent of these was the year 2012.
In the card-based oracle known as the Tarot, there is a trump card called Death. If this card appears in a Tarot reading, it is symbolic of change. To change from one state to another is what birth and death are. Yet death has taken on a sinister connotation in western society. To many in the modern world, death means the end. For those who believe in an afterlife, death usually means going to the afterlife and never returning. For those who don't believe in an afterlife, death simply means cessation of all biological functions and the end of consciousness. These beliefs arise from the linear perspective of the western mindset. It says, “What has a beginning must have an end.” The cyclical perspective sees everything moving according to a rhythm. It is a holistic perspective, as opposed to the reductionist linear perspective.
Linearity is natural, it is an easily observable phenomenon in our world, but look at the science of astronomy. Our moon orbits around our planet, which orbits around our sun, which moves with the rest of our galaxy around its center. Astronomy is largely about cycles, cycles, and more cycles. Cycles are difficult for the linear mind to grasp. Perhaps the most prominent linear perspective we have is of time. Most people will unanimously agree that time is linear, yet this is not what we experience. Time dilation, missing time, and déjà vu are all commonly reported experiences. How are we to reconcile this dichotomy of linearity and cycles? Let us turn to the ancient Chinese symbol, the Yin Yang.
Light and dark swirling together, constantly cycling, and each polarity contains at least a small amount of the opposite. In this symbol, one side is understood to be masculine, piercing, active, while the other side is feminine, incubating, passive. Here we have the piercing, reductionist linear mindset of the masculine energy that dominates our mindset and culture. The feminine, incubating, cyclical energy has been suppressed for who knows how many thousands of years. Yet even the masculine and feminine perspectives cycle in the Yin Yang. So if we currently have a masculine, patriarchal, linear mindset, at some time in the distant past we must have had the opposite. So too in the future will we have it again.
Then comes the problem of evil. Yes, evil. Whatever you call it, however you quantify it, there are destructive forces that frequently tear part of our world to tiny pieces. If you had to pick an essence, masculine or feminine, which would you say evil projects more? I would say masculine. The piercing, thrusting, reductionist energy can be used for evil. Women can, of course, be evil. But the energy that they are projecting is masculine. The Chinese equate the light side of the Yin Yang as masculine, Yang, the shining sun piercing and blinding the day. Yin is equated with the cyclical moon, passive, reflective, incubating in the dark womb. The dark is not synonymous with the evil energy in the Yin Yang, in fact it is the opposite.

For those who believe in an afterlife, death usually means going to the afterlife and never returning. For those who don't believe in an afterlife, death simply means cessation of all biological functions and the end of consciousness. These beliefs arise from the linear perspective of the western mindset. It says, “What has a beginning must have an end.” The cyclical perspective sees everything moving according to a rhythm. It is a holistic perspective, as opposed to the reductionist linear perspective.
Linearity is natural, it is an easily observable phenomenon in our world, but look at the science of astronomy. Our moon orbits around our planet, which orbits around our sun, which moves with the rest of our galaxy around its center. Astronomy is largely about cycles, cycles, and more cycles. The Case for Being Weird
I chose the name weirdpercent because it an anagram of my name, Drew Prentice, and because I'm a pretty strange person; ask anybody who knows me. They'll all tell you the same thing: "Yeah, that kid's a little weird." I've embraced this fact about me, because I'm not afraid to be who I am, a weird person. I don't like labeling people as a general rule because language is powerful, but monikers are a different story. As Shakespeare posed the question:
In modern times, advances in science have transformed our fiction. If science fiction is some of the strangest fiction we have ever known, then what does that say about our truths? To paraphrase J.B.S. Haldane:
There is a massive coverup being perpetrated in counterintelligence programs or COINTELPRO which elements of the intelligence agencies in our world carry out against the population. The intent is to deter and interfere with anyone who is actively seeking truths, seekers who can be distracted or misdirected. The threat that we would pose to them if we could pierce the veil and defend ourselves would effectively be neutralized. Thus, the subject is attacked and ridiculed for believing in such things and majority of people remain ignorant. Much of humanity is complicit in keeping it secret, unknown to themselves due to their voluntary ignorance. Those that do research on this subject find a plethora of dead ends, red herrings, disinformation and manipulation done to throw people off their scent. In most cases, it works. In such a strange world, one survival strategy would be to step into the archetype of being weird, to experience it fully and completely.
To be stranger than the world around you is a way of playing your part in the role you've been given. Those that play along with the flow of events find favor by the natural laws governing evolution. To say this more succinctly, one way to deal with the "alien agenda" is to be as alien as you can. This throws a wrench into their strategy so to speak. weirdpercent is an anagram of Drew Prentice. I compose synthetic electronic music and practice many dance styles of an illusory nature. I am pansexual. For most of my adult life I have done independent research into all of life's great questions. I have delved into unsolved mysteries, fringe knowledge, hidden history, eschatological prophecies, esoteric traditions, and more. I could go on, but I think you get the point: I'm a very odd person.
As to what I believe about aliens, UFOs, and other strange and other inexplicable phenomena, I will only say that what I believe about these subjects rests on many lines of text read, many hours spent in contemplation, many doubts and fears and questions explored, and what I believe is always subject to change in the face of new evidence. To say my life is unorthodox would be an understatement, but it's my life, and I accept that I'm an alien of sorts. I mean, I'm physically human, any physician will confirm this, but mentally, emotionally, and spiritually, I'm anything but. Don't be afraid of the strange, weird, odd, bizarre things in our world, because they are more numerous than you or I could possibly imagine. Instead, try to blend in by being a little bit weird yourself, and you may find a small comfort. If you can't beat them, join them. Join us. C'mon, it's fun. Deep down inside, everyone is a little weird. To act it out and let it show may surprise you. It can be liberating, in a strange sort of way.

The way I see it, if your personality (which is constantly changing from moment to moment) is a weird one, you might as well embrace this aspect of yourself instead of denying who you are.
